Summary

We have all known sadness and pain— but can it be reversed? From World War I Yorkshire to the Warsaw Ghetto to Post Financial-Crisis Manhattan, this short story cycle gives us answers from the lives of war widows, open-mic musicians, Wall Street bankers, and a storm drain in Hull.

Raised in California and currently living in the UK, his writing has appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, and non-fiction works published by Doubleday, Viking, and Praeger.
